A woman from Florida managed to escape a frightening three-week abduction plan, leaping from a California balcony. Her ex-boyfriend, 41-year-old Floyd Stuck, allegedly held her captive and was later arrested on charges including kidnapping and aggravated stalking. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office began investigating when the woman reported a tracking device.
Sheriff Carmine Marceno detailed the case, describing Stuck as a highly dangerous individual. Detectives uncovered that Stuck initially misled the victim, proposing a brief trip to New York. Instead, he drove her across states like Florida, Louisiana, and Nevada, using threats against her family to ensure her compliance.
During the trip, Stuck allegedly seized the victim’s phone and wallet, assaulted her, and escalated threats upon reaching San Diego. There, investigators say he restrained her with zip ties and duct tape, threatening her life. The victim eventually seized an opportunity to escape, leading to Stuck’s capture following an intense search involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
Marceno highlighted Stuck’s extensive criminal background, which includes allegations of armed robbery and arson. At the time of his latest arrest, he was out on bond for a separate case involving significant fraud charges in Collier County.
Continued coordination among agencies aims to charge Stuck further across various states, reflecting the severity of his actions.
