2 weeks ago 0

Country music artist Ashley Cooke recently spoke about a serious heart condition she is living with. During an interview with Fox News Digital, Cooke revealed her diagnosis with Brugada syndrome. This condition, while rare, poses significant risks, including unsafe heart rhythms and sudden cardiac arrest. At 29, Cooke described receiving the diagnosis as ‘scary’, pointing out that it presents no symptoms.

“You just have to go get tested for it and hope for the best,” Cooke mentioned in the interview. The condition is especially concerning because young, healthy individuals are unexpectedly affected by it.

Besides her personal challenges, Cooke is preparing to embark on her Baby Blues World Tour. She explained how her diagnosis feels like a constant cloud of fear, not knowing when cardiac arrest might occur. Her cousin, who also has Brugada syndrome, offered comforting advice, suggesting belief in a higher power and living life fully, regardless of the risks.

Cooke has found purpose in her condition, choosing to live each day to the fullest. “It could be my last [day] because you just never know,” she shared, reflecting the uncertainty everyone faces.

Known for her rapid rise in country music, Cooke gained attention with hits such as “Never Til Now”, a duet with Brett Young, and “Your Place”. Her upcoming tour, a 28-date international event, supports her new album set to release on August 14. Cooke expressed excitement about performing in dream venues and sharing new music with her audience.

Cooke believes this tour could mark the best period of her life. “Every city will feel huge and unique, a step up from where we’ve been,” she commented, emphasizing her pride in the music and anticipation of audience engagement.
