Black-Tie Event Planned for Swift-Kelce Celebration

2 hours ago 0

The anticipated multiple-day event at Madison Square Garden for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is generating much interest. The occasion is widely considered to be a wedding and fresh details highlight the formal aspect of the celebration.

Sources close to the event reveal that the dress code for the gathering will be black tie. This means men are expected to wear a tuxedo with a jacket, a black bow tie, and trousers with matching satin stripes. Women can choose between floor-length gowns, elevated cocktail dresses, or elegant separates. Black tie signifies a level of formality, though it is slightly less formal than white tie, which requires tailcoats and white bow ties.

Preparations appear underway with well-known personalities like Andy Reid, coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, getting fitted for tuxedos. Peters Clothiers in Kansas City even shared a photo of Reid preparing for Kelce and Swift’s event, which further indicates the importance of the occasion. Reid has previously mentioned he was probably invited to the wedding in an interview.

Event Details

Swift and Kelce’s celebration at Madison Square Garden includes two significant events. A smaller rehearsal dinner with around 100 attendees will take place on Thursday in the Infosys Theater. The following day, a grander event with approximately 1,000 guests will commence at 4 p.m. with a cocktail hour. To ensure privacy, both events will enforce no-phone policies for everyone present, including guests, vendors, and security personnel.

The couple has not publicly disclosed much about the event. However, activity around the venue suggests ample preparations. Semi trucks and forklifts have been spotted bringing in heavy cargo wrapped in dark plastic, some of which seem to be trees. A person on site, wearing a “Taylor Swift CARPENTERS” T-shirt, declined to comment further, citing his right to remain silent.
