The journey to rescue a lost rodent in Washington D.C.’s Rock Creek Park began with a Reddit post noticed by a Maryland resident. Teal Quinn, a pet rat enthusiast, read about an albino rat that might have been abandoned in the park.
On the night she stumbled across the Reddit post, Quinn was winding down her day. The subreddit she followed was buzzing with entries about a lost or abandoned rat. The post carried an image of the small albino rat, partly hidden under some bushes.
Motivated by her passion for pet rats, Quinn decided to drive over an hour from her Maryland home to see if she could find and rescue the animal.
