The vehicle, described as white, targeted individuals just before 10:00 p.m. local time.
The incident unfolded in Tiergarten Park, a significant park in Berlin, where a vibrant LGBTQ+ celebration was underway. At least 17 individuals suffered injuries, with some in critical condition. This event sparked widespread concern and fear within the community.
Kai Wegner, the governing mayor of Berlin, labeled the occurrence as an affront to Berlin’s open and diverse society.
