Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers acquired Tarik Skubal, considered the top player available, by trading three prospects who were not vital to their future plans. This move replaced Shohei Ohtani with the best starting pitcher in the American League. Andrew Friedman, the president of baseball operations, ensured Skubal did not end up with the Milwaukee Brewers or Tampa Bay Rays, the two teams better positioned to acquire him. Kris Bubic, Ben Rortvedt, and Hunter Feduccia add valuable depth to the team.

Los Angeles Angels

The Angels made strategic decisions to build for the future. They traded players like Chase Silseth, Logan O’Hoppe, and others for two preseason Top-100 prospects, Arjun Nimmala and Moises Ballesteros. Finally, the team owner, Arte Moreno, allowed interim GM John Mozeliak to focus on long-term growth, a necessary shift for a team with a challenging record.
