North Carolina Man with Extensive Arrest History Arrested Again

1 week ago 0

A man from North Carolina, accused of attacking a woman on a sidewalk in Charlotte and allegedly sharing the incident on social media, has faced arrest at least nine times since 2023, according to records.

Incident Details

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reported that 32-year-old Di-Quan Schafar Hunt was taken into custody on Thursday. Officers, responding to a call, were shown a social media account featuring videos that detectives were already investigating.

One of these videos showed an assault reported on July 30 on East Boulevard in the Providence Division. According to the police, the suspect hit a woman on the sidewalk before escaping.

Hunt was treated at a local medical facility. Following his release, he will be transferred to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Victim and Video Evidence

The victim sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Fox News Digital reviewed the social media videos. One video showed a woman being pursued until she found refuge behind a vehicle. A comment on the account read, “Ahhhh feels GOOD!!!”

In another video, the person filming confronts a woman, and the camera shakes as the sound of a punch is heard. The woman is seen on the ground as the cameraman continues to taunt and strike her.

Ongoing Investigation

It is unclear if either of these videos is connected to the July 30 assault or if the women involved have been identified. Detectives are examining whether other videos indicate further criminal activity.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg police urge anyone with information about incidents related to the social media account to contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.

Hunt’s Arrest Record

Mecklenburg County’s records show Hunt has been arrested at least nine times from October 2023 through December 2025. His most recent arrest in December 2025 includes charges of assault with a deadly weapon and other offenses.

His record also mentions a simple-assault charge in September 2025 and an assault on a female in March 2025. In 2024, Hunt faced charges related to domestic-violence protective orders and other misdemeanors.

Hunt is documented as a felon with multiple misdemeanor convictions in Mecklenburg County. His record includes felony charges and resisting a public officer. However, the outcomes of these cases remain unspecified, as charges do not equal convictions.
