Brush Fire Erupts in Burbank Hills, Prompting Evacuations

A brush fire ignited in the hills of Burbank on Saturday afternoon, prompting a swift response from the city’s police and fire departments. The blaze was reported near Wildwood Canyon and Harvard Road at approximately 3:20 p.m., according to Cal Fire at UC San Diego.

The Walnut fire, located near DeBell Golf Club and Wildwood Canyon Park, resulted in evacuations in areas closest to the flames. The city of Burbank announced the closure of DeBell Restaurant and Golf Course, Stough Canyon Nature Center, and hiking trails within the vicinity. Additionally, the Starlight Bowl concert set for August 8 has been canceled.
