Stockard Channing has shared insights into her decision to embrace a quieter lifestyle in the United Kingdom. The famous actress, known for her role in ‘Grease’, moved to London shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic. This move followed the passing of her long-term partner, producer Daniel Gilham, in 2014.

Channing expressed her contentment living a reclusive life in an essay for The Sunday Times. ‘I’ve lived alone since I lost Daniel and I’m happy being a recluse,’ she penned. Before Gilham, Channing had been married four times, each marriage marking different phases of her life.

Addressing her Hollywood days, Channing explained how she now prefers a life away from the social scene. Reflecting on the 1960s and her character Rizzo, she noted the era’s influence on her views about marriage and sexuality. While she considers the possibility of children, she recognizes that selfishness exists in both adults and children.
