The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a recall for approximately 30,000 pounds of beef imported from Argentina. The beef, distributed by Corte Argentino USA, was not inspected as required before entering the United States. This has prompted federal officials to take action.
The shipment included various cuts of raw beef. These were sent to retailers and grocery distributors located in Florida and Texas. The beef production dates ranged from May 15 to May 20. The freeze-by dates for this meat were projected between September 15 and September 20.
The USDA’s recall highlights concerns for food safety and compliance with import regulations. Consumers in the affected states of Florida and Texas are advised to check the source of their beef. They should ensure their products come from certified and inspected batches.
