The search for WWE’s future stars unfolded unexpectedly at Sunday Night’s Main Event. Initially, Bron Breakker and Oba Femi aimed to prove themselves as potential torchbearers. However, the decisive moment belonged to Bronson Reed, who returned from a biceps injury that occurred in February and made a significant impact.
During the event held at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga., Reed faced Oba Femi in a fierce encounter. Reed attacked Femi with chair shots and executed top rope tsunamis. He set up Breakker to conclude the event, where Breakker delivered impactful spears.
The showdown between Breakker and Femi centered on public perception. Both wrestlers were eager to establish themselves as the face of WWE for the coming decade. Breakker, returning from an injury, felt underestimated and determined to make his mark. On the other hand, Femi gained traction after retiring Brock Lesnar at a SummerSlam Hell in a Cell match.
Both wrestlers showed that they would stop at nothing to win. Breakker made his presence known with a flying elbow drop after Femi’s powerful slap. Throughout the match, each contender sought to answer the question of who was more determined to seize the opportunity.
After a series of moves, including a German suplex by Breakker and several European uppercuts by Femi, the battle remained fierce. Breakker’s attempts to use a spear were initially thwarted with Femi’s uppercuts. Austin Theory attempted to interfere in Femi’s favor, but Breakker overcame this distraction with a powerful torpedo spear.
Reed’s sudden intervention dramatically shifted the dynamic. He assaulted Femi with a chair, taking control of the match’s outcome. By the end of the night, Breakker and Reed were triumphant, indicating a new direction for WWE’s future talents.
These emerging stars hinted at the new paths WWE might take. While Breakker and Reed stood tall, Femi and others continue to fight for their place on the WWE stage.
