In the early hours of Saturday, a chaotic scene unfolded in Green Bay, Wisconsin, resulting in injuries to four police officers. The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. local time. Officers from the Green Bay Police Department responded to disturbances near a food truck.

While officers were attempting to detain several individuals, a vehicle suddenly drove towards the crowd, including the officers. In response, an officer discharged their firearm. The suspect then fled the scene, triggering a brief police chase. The pursuit ended when officers deployed a PIT maneuver, a tactical method used by law enforcement to halt vehicles.

The suspect was apprehended without further incident and is suspected of driving under the influence. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the four officers were not life-threatening, and they received immediate medical attention.

No injuries have been reported due to the gunfire. Green Bay Police Chief Chris Davis mentioned during a press conference that it remains unclear if the suspect had any involvement with the initial disturbance near the food truck.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office will collaborate with the department to investigate the officer-involved shooting.
