Law enforcement officers greeted an American Airlines flight at Miami International Airport late Friday night. The response came after reports of a female passenger undressing and acting indecently during the flight.
American Airlines Flight 1779 left Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) at just after 9 p.m. EDT on Friday, September 11, 2025. It was nearly two hours late according to flight-tracking data. The flight touched down in Miami at 11:23 p.m. EDT.
While the Airbus A319 traveled to Florida, flight attendants informed the cockpit about a disturbance involving a passenger seated in row 9. According to Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) logs, published by aviation site AirLive, the lead flight attendant reported a female passenger in seat 9D had undressed completely and was engaging in inappropriate acts visible to other passengers.
The incident prompted a report to American Airlines’ Integrated Operations Center and a request for law enforcement intervention.
The aircraft proceeded to Miami without diversion, arriving at Gate D2 in Terminal N, based on the flight tracking service Flightera. Law enforcement officers awaited the plane’s arrival and took the passenger into custody. However, it is unclear what specific actions the cabin crew took during the flight to handle the disturbance.
Fox News Digital contacted American Airlines, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, and Miami International Airport for further comments.
