Investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Alleged Immigration Fraud

3 weeks ago 0

Tom Homan, the White House border czar, stated on ‘The Sunday Briefing’ that the Department of Homeland Security is investigating allegations involving Representative Ilhan Omar. However, he did not provide details on what he referred to as an ‘ongoing criminal investigation.’

When asked if the federal government has proof of Omar committing immigration or naturalization fraud, Homan opted not to comment. He mentioned, ‘I know things are going on, but I can’t give specifics of what’s happening.’ He emphasized that ‘no one’s above the law,’ regardless of political status, and said Homeland Security Investigations will continue their work.

The accusations against Omar include claims that she married a man, alleged to be her brother, as part of an immigration scheme. Omar has denied these allegations, which remain unproven in public records. In December, she dismissed the claims as ‘bigoted lies’ and noted that former President Donald Trump was preoccupied with her.

Something’s going to happen… We know that she married her brother to try to bring him to the United States. We know he now lives in London.

These comments came from Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who spoke on a podcast. He suggested possible illegal activity related to family migration and mentioned the potential for deportation if evidence proves wrongdoing.

Vice President JD Vance remarked in May on the Justice Department investigating whether Omar committed immigration fraud. He pointed out irregularities concerning Omar’s marriages, stressing the importance of equal justice under the law.

Discussing the denaturalization process, Homan highlighted its seriousness. If proven, misrepresentations can lead to denaturalization, a process carried out multiple times over the past 40 years. Fox News Digital attempted to get a comment from Omar’s office. Max Bacall, an associate editor for Fox News Digital, contributed to this report.
