Anna Nicole Smith’s Influence on Sandra Taylor’s Remarkable Journey

3 days ago 0

Anna Nicole Smith unknowingly played a pivotal role in reshaping the life of a former Playboy model, who later became a head sommelier at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders. Sandra Taylor, once hailed by Hugh Hefner as the “most sexy model,” recounts her fascinating journey and the cherished friendship that steered her in an unexpected direction.

Meeting Anna Nicole Smith

During her appearance on the podcast “Unexpired,” hosted by Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Kim Alexis, Taylor reflected on her unique path. A friendship formed with Smith, the 1993 Playmate of the Year, significantly influenced her career direction. She fondly remembers how they shared makeup artists and the moments leading up to Smith’s arrival from Texas.

“I was friends with Anna Nicole Smith, and she was such a darling. We became friends shortly after she arrived,” Taylor shared with Fox News Digital.

A visit to Smith on the set of “Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult” altered the course of Taylor’s life. Encouraged by Smith and her makeup artist to approach Playboy, Taylor saw an opportunity she never anticipated.

From Mathematics to Modeling

Taylor admits she never envisioned herself in Playboy. Raised with aspirations akin to her father, a mathematician, Taylor’s early experiences were focused on academics. However, the sudden passing of her father at 19 shifted her ambitions. She abandoned her studies, leaving books in her locker, and embraced a new path.

“When he passed away, the math died along with him,” said Taylor. “I just didn’t want to do it anymore.”

Entering Playboy marked the beginning of a deep connection with Hugh Hefner. Her presence in the iconic magazine led to friendships and unforgettable experiences over the years.

The Influence of Hugh Hefner

Taylor’s bond with Hefner extended beyond professional endeavors. As a close friend of his wife Kimberley, Taylor experienced Hefner’s hospitality and warmth firsthand.

“I was able to fly on their jet, and truly experience him as a family man,” Taylor explained.

Decades later, Taylor learned Hefner regarded her as the magazine’s “most sexy model.” This revelation arrived through friend Traci Bingham, reminiscent of Taylor’s diverse representation in Playboy.

Exploring New Ventures

Modeling opened numerous doors, including collaborations with Fabio for romance novel covers. Describing these experiences as “elaborate” and “fun,” Taylor recounts how she embraced every opportunity, keeping an open mind throughout.

Acting became another venture, where Taylor frequently worked with Hollywood legends like director Garry Marshall, Steven Seagal, and Dan Aykroyd. The kindness and generosity of these figures left a lasting impression on her.

Today, Taylor occupies a unique role as the head sommelier for the Las Vegas Raiders, a testament to her enduring adaptability. Having faced challenges, including losing her home to the Palisades Fire, she remains optimistic about her journey ahead.

“I’m proud of the life I’ve led,” Taylor stated. “I’ve faced ups and downs, but I’ve been blessed.”
