Two Fatalities in Georgia Homecoming Party Shooting

On Sunday, a tragic shooting disrupted a homecoming party in a neighborhood in Vienna, Georgia, resulting in two deaths and injuries to 35 others. The violence erupted around 1:25 a.m. during a gathering that extended through four blocks.

Dooly County Sheriff Craig Peavy characterized the incident as a “senseless act of violence” during a press conference. Despite ongoing investigations, no arrests have been made yet.

The deceased have been identified as Ja’Quavion Aderious Jackson, 21, and Macaleb Malik Jackson, 23. The ages of the 35 injured individuals vary from 14 to 51, with conditions reported as ranging from stable to critical, according to Sheriff Peavy.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation urges anyone with information about the incident to reach out to authorities or submit tips anonymously to aid the investigation.
