Domestic Abuse Allegations Surface Against Tyreek Hill Amid Divorce Trial

2 hours ago 0

Recent reports have tied Tyreek Hill to a possible return to the Kansas City Chiefs. Additionally, one report quoted his agent predicting the former All-Pro wide receiver would sign with a team soon. However, Hill’s divorce trial began Tuesday, and testimony from Lakeeta Vaccaro, his estranged wife, outlined allegations of domestic abuse. Her complaint described eight instances of abuse.

The divorce itself holds no interest for the NFL, but the abuse allegations are significant. These could disrupt or delay Hill’s return to the field under the league’s Personal Conduct Policy. The NFL is currently reviewing Vaccaro’s domestic violence allegations without a set timeline for a conclusion, according to a league source. Tuesday’s testimony is likely to be factored into that review process.

Keeta Vaccaro attended The Model Experience’s Fashion Week Festival at the Los Angeles Convention Center on September 30, 2023. Her lawsuit against Hill seeks punitive and compensatory damages. During direct examination, Vaccaro testified about a July 2024 visit to the ESPN campus in Orlando. She stated Hill became angry because she hadn’t had professional hair and makeup done for potential interviews.

Later that day, Hill allegedly attempted to punch Vaccaro in the stomach at their hotel, but she blocked the strike with her hands. Vaccaro was pregnant at the time and further claimed Hill expressed not wanting the baby.

Hill’s alleged history of abuse extends beyond his relationship with Vaccaro. Their 18-month marriage reportedly experienced cycles of peace followed by turmoil. Vaccaro described Hill’s behavior as alternating between calm and anger.

Specific incidents included verbal aggression and physical force, such as picking Vaccaro up to throw her out of the house, pushing her into a car door, and grabbing her during arguments. Vaccaro also claimed that Hill once left her on the roadside after an argument.

Hill’s legal team argued discrepancies between Vaccaro’s deposition and her court testimony. They emphasized the absence of physical evidence and stressed that acknowledging allegations does not mean accepting them.

Hill has faced multiple alleged abuse cases in the past:

  • 2014-2015: Hill was arrested after Crystal Espinal accused him of domestic violence during her pregnancy. He pleaded guilty in 2015 but the case was dismissed and expunged in 2018.
  • 2019: Hill was investigated following the release of an audio recording discussing his son’s injury and threatening remarks toward Espinal. No charges were filed.
  • 2023: British influencer Sophie Hall sued Hill, alleging he tackled and injured her during a football drill. The civil suit was settled in May 2026.
  • 2024-2025: Vaccaro reported domestic disputes to police, including incidents involving a cigar, a laptop, and the couple’s child near a balcony. These did not result in arrests.

Tuesday’s trial proceedings concluded at 5 p.m. Neither Hill nor Vaccaro addressed reporters afterward. The trial will continue on Wednesday.
