Roman Reigns Retains Title Against LA Knight at Money in the Bank

2 hours ago 0

Roman Reigns thwarted LA Knight’s attempt to win the World Heavyweight Championship during the Money in the Bank event held at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. The audience at the venue was intensely engaged throughout the match.

The crowd initially supported Reigns as they chanted “OTC,” but shifted in favor of Knight when he nearly pinned Reigns. Knight showcased his skills with a jumping superplex and the Burning Hammer, but Reigns remained resilient, enduring these attacks and countering effectively.

Knight nearly turned the match around outside the ring, dodging Reigns’ spear and powerbombing him through the announce table. Despite his efforts, Knight was unable to seal the victory after bringing Reigns back into the ring.

The momentum shifted when Reigns took advantage of Knight’s attempts, delivering a decisive attack that included multiple Superman punches and a final spear. Knight was unable to recover, leaving Reigns to retain his title successfully.

Reigns’ strategic approach, focusing on a slow and methodical pace, contrasted with his recent title defense against Penta in Mexico City. His tactics proved effective against Knight’s aggressive style.

As Reigns celebrated his victory, tensions rose with the appearance of 946 in the crowd. Characters such as Royce Keys, Lucien Price, and Bronco Nima signaled their intentions to challenge Reigns. The Usos and Solo Sikoa, allies of Reigns, confronted them, resulting in a brawl that extended outside the arena.

Jaida Parker intervened, aiding 946 in escaping the scene in an SUV. With LA Knight’s challenge now behind him, Reigns must prepare for a potential confrontation with 946. The Bloodline and 946 are poised for an impactful showdown.
