David Robinson had a longstanding desire for someone to share his thoughts with, but opportunities were scarce, he shared. Among Black men, he noted, traditional therapy carried perceived stigmas, such as the fear of judgment and a shame of revealing personal stories. These feelings of apprehension also emerged when considering confiding in acquaintances.
