President Trump’s Medical and Dental Check-Up at Walter Reed

1 month ago 0

President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Tuesday for medical and dental examinations. A White House official confirmed the visit. This marks the president’s third in-person check-up within a span of thirteen months.

Previously, Trump visited Walter Reed twice in the past year, in April and October 2025. He also had dental appointments in West Palm Beach twice this year, initially in January and then earlier this month for a follow-up.

Trump, nearing his 80th birthday, continues to claim that he is in good health, despite ongoing rumors about his health condition. His vitality was emphasized during his re-election campaign, where he labeled his opponent “Sleepy Joe Biden.” Despite these assertions, Trump has displayed signs of tiredness and a bruised hand. The White House attributed these to frequent handshaking and aspirin use, which acts as a blood thinner.

The president’s chronic venous insufficiency was diagnosed last year following an examination for mild leg swelling. Trump confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that he takes aspirin to thin his blood, avoiding thick blood flow through his heart.

The October 2025 visit was initially reported as a routine follow-up. The president later disclosed that he underwent an MRI, which was actually a CT scan of his heart and abdomen. Dr. Sean Barbabella, Trump’s physician, stated that alongside a hospital visit in October, they recommended a physical evaluation to maintain optimal health. An advanced imaging test was suggested, and the president consented to a CT scan, which showed no abnormalities.

After the April visit to Walter Reed, Barbabella confirmed Trump’s excellent health, noting strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical capabilities. Trump’s schedule includes numerous meetings, public engagements, press interactions, and golf victories.
