Unraveling the Trump-Russia Collusion Narrative

Sara Carter remembers the moment when key elements of the Trump-Russia collusion story began to come apart. During an exclusive session on “Hang Out with Sean Hannity,” Carter expressed her initial disbelief: “I didn’t want to believe what I was seeing.” At that point, Carter was collaborating closely with journalist John Solomon as source information indicated potential surveillance on President-elect Donald Trump.

I went into John’s office and said, ‘John, I need to talk to you. I believe there are people in the FBI spying on President-elect Trump—the duly elected president of the United States.’ Carter recalled.

John Solomon, initially skeptical, sought further details, leading him to consult his sources. Eventually, Solomon reported back, unsure but willing to pursue the matter. They decided to collaborate, refusing to let the matter rest.

In 2017, Solomon encountered unnamed government officials who informed him of what he now calls an 11-year conspiracy against Trump. On the same podcast, Solomon remembered the incident: “We want to tell you that you’re at the tip of a very large iceberg and you need to keep drilling down,” he recalled them warning.

This encounter occurred shortly after Solomon appeared on Hannity’s television show, discussing an increase in the unmasking of Americans’ communications. Solomon described driving home and finding a government vehicle parked by his mailbox. Fearing arrest, he approached the car, only to find the men carrying an important message.

Well, that thing you were talking about tonight on television… it’s far deeper,” one of the men told him. Solomon recalled the message: “There is an incredible political dirty trick that’s being carried out using the most awesome powers of the intelligence community.”

The men advised Solomon to “keep looking.” Carter referred to this during her conversation with Hannity, noting that with assistance from her sources, vital details were unveiled.

Carter said, “I had my sources together, [and] together, we were able to unravel the beginnings of what was to be the most significant story in American history.” Taylor Penley, an associate editor with Fox News, contributed to this report.
