The journey of motherhood for many women in Arkansas doesn’t conclude once they step out of the hospital. Often, the real challenges begin only then.
As a medical assistant in a women’s health clinic, I witness the crucial months following childbirth. Many mothers return weeks after delivery, facing unexpected complications and uncertain about where to go or how to pay for necessary care. During this period, questions emerge, complications arise, and recovery takes its course.
This is also a time when numerous women face the risk of losing the healthcare coverage essential for accessing proper care.
