Late Night Hosts Mock Trump’s NBA Finals Nap

Jimmy Kimmel offered a comedic jab at President Trump, labeling him as ‘Dozes Malone’ after he appeared to fall asleep during Game 3 of the NBA finals. The game took place in New York City, and Trump was seen on camera seemingly dozing off.

Kimmel remarked, ‘The first sitting president to shut down a major United States city so he could take a nap in front of a sold-out crowd at the NBA finals.’ He criticized the president for spending taxpayer dollars on the trip only to fall asleep. ‘There’s Dozes Malone, who spent who-knows-how-many million taxpayer dollars to get there, and he goes out like a light,’ Kimmel mused.

He further quipped, ‘Who can fall asleep during the N.B.A. finals at Madison Square Garden? Do you know how out of it you have to be? I hope Joe Biden was watching this and laughing his [expletive] off last night.’

Jimmy Fallon joined in, joking, ‘Last night, President Trump slept at Madison Square Garden for Game 3 of the N.B.A. finals, and the Knicks fans are blaming him for the team’s loss. Trump doesn’t want to be blamed, so today he called the N.B.A. and demanded they ‘find’ five more points for the Knicks.’

Desi Lydic from ‘The Daily Show’ added, ‘Sir, you can’t sleep through the game. You’re the president, not Game 3 referee Marc Davis.’
