3 weeks ago 0

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has not received any communication from Mexican authorities following reports of an anonymous tip regarding Nancy Guthrie’s whereabouts. Nancy Guthrie, 84, has been missing since early February 2026.

According to Ramona Guadalupe Ayala Ortiz, who leads Buscando Corazones Nogales in Sonora, Mexico, the organization obtained information suggesting a grave matching Guthrie’s description may exist in the Mariposa area near Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. Buscando Corazones Nogales is dedicated to locating missing persons in Mexico.

Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that, as of now, no contact has been made by Mexican authorities. He emphasized the investigation is still active, reiterating the department’s commitment to pursuing credible leads.

Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona, residence in February. Authorities suspect abduction but lack concrete evidence pointing to her crossing the southern border. Surveillance footage from a doorbell camera captured a masked individual at Guthrie’s home around the time she went missing.

The same camera previously recorded a figure approaching the home three weeks prior. Additionally, when police arrived, they found her back door ajar, suggesting potential involvement of multiple individuals. Ransom notes were reportedly sent to TMZ and local media outlets, yet no arrests have been made.
