6 days ago 0

Country singer Bailey Zimmerman experienced a dramatic day at Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, leading to criminal charges. Events began with a round of golf and concluded with an arrest warrant.

The Day Begins

On May 27, Zimmerman arrived at the resort and spent the day on the golf course. By 3 p.m., he and his group returned to the hotel in a white SUV.

Hotel Arrival

Upon reaching the resort, Zimmerman, his security officer, and four others exited the vehicle. According to police, Zimmerman shared a cigarette with the band, reportedly burning members with it. They appeared unfazed and laughed.

Around 4:20 p.m., Zimmerman and his entourage headed to the amphitheater for a chaotic soundcheck.

Soundcheck Chaos

Surveillance footage reviewed by police revealed Zimmerman behaving erratically during soundcheck. He allegedly threw microphones and cymbals, toppled equipment, and defied attempts to calm him. At one point, he reportedly pushed a guitarist, kicking over drum equipment.

Zimmmerman departed soundcheck after 44 minutes, showing displeasure at having a white instead of black SUV, even spitting toward security officers.

Return to the Hotel and Concert Cancellation

Zimmerman’s return to the hotel was marked by stumbling and loss of balance. Blood visible on one knee, he had difficulty navigating to his suite. Later, Zimmerman canceled his concert, citing health reasons, and announced rescheduling via Instagram.

Resort Exit

Following the cancellation, hotel management requested Zimmerman and his entourage leave. Zimmerman initially resisted using the provided vehicles, prompting Sandia Police involvement. Eventually, he cooperated and left the property aboard a bus.

Damages Discovered

On May 28, police found $16,000 in damage in Zimmerman’s hotel room. Damage included a broken phone and damaged furniture, with two chairs missing. An additional $400 in alcohol charges went unpaid.

Legal Consequences

An arrest warrant was issued for Zimmerman on June 18. Charged with felony criminal damage and misdemeanor falsely obtaining services, Zimmerman faced legal action without immediate bond release.

Apology Issued

Zimmerman apologized through his attorney, addressing the events in New Mexico. He expressed regret to the Pueblo of Sandia, Sandia Resort & Casino, and his fans. Zimmerman committed to learning and growing from the experience.
