In August, before announcing her engagement, Taylor Swift made an appearance on “New Heights,” a podcast hosted by Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, a former Philadelphia Eagle. During her time on the show, Swift became emotional as she talked about retrieving her master recordings. She shared new insights about her album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” and her budding relationship with Travis Kelce.
The public had already heard Travis Kelce’s perspective. He had attended the Eras Tour in Kansas City with a friendship bracelet that bore his number. Although he didn’t manage to give it to Swift during the concert, his expression of interest became known through an episode of the “New Heights” podcast, catching Swift’s attention and sparking their romance.
Jason Kelce brought his brother and Swift onto the podcast on August 13, 2025, where Swift revealed that Travis’s actions were a “wild, romantic gesture.” She stated, “This is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager,” referring to their courtship.
