Vice President JD Vance Criticizes Democrats in Wisconsin Over Fraud Claims

1 month ago 0

Vice President JD Vance traveled to Wisconsin on Wednesday to highlight efforts against fraud, pointing to an investigation that started during the Biden administration as proof of the Trump administration’s commitment to eliminating waste. Vance used the occasion to criticize Democrats, accusing them of ignoring fraudulent activities.

Speaking to a small crowd at an airport hangar on a National Guard base, Vance said, “This is not about better or worse policy. This is about who is supporting fraudsters and who is supporting you.” He emphasized that the divide lies in the fight against fraud, with Republicans leading the charge.

The event took place amid tensions between the United States and Iran, leading to a spike in oil prices and impacting American consumers. Despite these economic issues, Vance and other Republicans, including Representative Tom Tiffany and Representative Derrick Van Orden, chose to focus on alleged Democratic shortcomings regarding fraud.

Representative Tom Tiffany criticized Wisconsin’s Democratic Governor, Tony Evers, for his reluctance to share food-stamp recipients’ personal data with federal authorities. Tiffany asserted, “We need the other side to stop turning a blind eye to this fraud that’s going on in Wisconsin.”
