Sarah Michelle Gellar has joined the ranks of celebrities enjoying a European summer. The 49-year-old actress recently shared a series of photos from her vacation in the South of France. She spent time on the water, explored the Calanques near Cassis, and visited Circuit Paul Ricard, a renowned motorsports track in Le Castellet.
Gellar kicked off her getaway with a scenic day on the Mediterranean. She sported a black bikini with a white floral pattern and a matching swim skirt. Relaxing on a boat near the bright blue Mediterranean, Gellar wore black cat-eye sunglasses and accessorized with layered necklaces and bracelets. Behind her, a rocky, tree-lined coastline completed the scene.
A closer look at her relaxation under the French sun came with a selfie taken from the boat. In deep brown halter bikini top with gathered fabric and bow accents, she wore her blonde hair pulled back. Gellar seemed to opt for a light makeup look as she smiled, with the turquoise water in the background.
Later, she changed into an all-white eyelet ensemble while posing on the deck. The outfit included a short-sleeved blouse with scalloped edges and matching shorts, complemented by dark sunglasses and a woven tote bag. With sailboats dotting the water behind her, she stood with one leg bent in a breezy pose.
Gellar didn’t only admire the water from afar. She took a dip in the Mediterranean, accessorizing with a delicate necklace and stacked bracelets. Climbing aboard after her swim, the actress shared her enjoyment of the entire experience.
Fans and friends praised the sunny vacation photos in the comments section. Candace Cameron Bure simply commented, “Beautiful.”
The trip followed Gellar’s discussion on beauty and aging during a January podcast appearance. She spoke about being compared to her younger self, noting the pressure and her acceptance of her current self. Gellar said, “I don’t want to be that person anymore. I like who I am now.”
The “Cruel Intentions” actress acknowledged the challenges of aging publicly. As cosmetic procedures and filtered images become common, she admitted to having tried Botox but still appreciates the natural movement of her face.
Considering more cosmetic options, she decided against it, prioritizing authenticity. Gellar also reflected on the confidence gained with age, saying, “There’s a confidence that you get later — there’s no way to replicate it for a younger person because it just comes with living.”
