Darius Rucker took the stage at WWE SummerSlam in Minneapolis, performing an impactful rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” to kick off Night 2 of the event. The performance occurred at U.S. Bank Stadium, packed with thousands eager for the night’s matches.

An acclaimed artist, Rucker prepared all day for this moment on one of WWE’s grandest stages. Following his performance, the stadium erupted in “U-S-A” chants, marking a patriotic and memorable start to the evening.

Prior to the main event, Rucker appeared on the pre-show, sharing insights into his long-time passion for professional wrestling. He recounted memories of watching legendary bouts, including the famed matchup between Dusty Rhodes and “Superstar” Billy Graham. Additionally, Rucker proudly displayed his ownership of an authentic Ric Flair robe, noting the high cost but emphasizing its value to him.

Rucker expressed his admiration for wrestling’s storytelling aspect, which he believes makes the sport compelling. “The matches are wonderful and great but it’s the stories,” he said. “You get behind somebody. You understand where the story’s going, and when they get it right, it’s the most satisfying thing in the world.”

Complemented by WWE personalities Corey Graves and Peter Rosenberg at WWE Countdown, Rucker’s participation helped set a dynamic tone for SummerSlam Night 2. His contribution added to the thrill and excitement of the night.
