A bus aide in Pennsylvania, Ali Khan, age 62, faces multiple charges after allegations of inappropriate behavior involving a 14-year-old girl with special needs. He has been accused of endangering a child’s welfare, corruption of minors, and indecent assault, as stated by the Bensalem Township Police Department.
Investigators revealed that the girl’s parents contacted police on July 30, reporting inappropriate conduct by Khan earlier that day. Surveillance footage from the bus showed him allegedly directing the girl to a specific seat, touching her inappropriately while securing her seatbelt, and taking photographs or videos with his cellphone.
Khan is held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility, unable to post 10% of his $500,000 bail. His alleged actions took place on July 29 and 30 as the girl traveled to the Bensalem High School’s extended school year program.
The Bensalem Police commend the victim for her courage in reporting the assault, and thank the Bensalem School District for their assistance.
The district immediately removed Khan from service and suspended him pending criminal and administrative investigations. A statement underlined their commitment to student safety and cooperation with law enforcement.
The investigation continues, with Khan’s preliminary hearing set for August 11, 2026. Authorities emphasize the importance of maintaining student safety and conducting thorough reviews in such cases.
