The Dallas Wings will relocate to downtown Dallas for the next season, where they will share the arena with the NBA’s Mavericks. This move, announced by Wings officials, marks a temporary arrangement as the team awaits the completion of their new home.
In 2024, the Wings signed a 15-year agreement to play in the renovated Dallas Memorial Auditorium. This auditorium will accommodate around 10,000 spectators. Construction delays at this venue, located a few blocks from the American Airlines Center (AAC), have necessitated the current shift.
“Today’s announcement marks a pivotal step in the team’s relocation to Dallas as well as our continued growth as a professional sports enterprise,” stated Dallas Wings CEO and managing partner Greg Bibb.
The team also plans to move into a new $55 million training facility next April. This facility is under construction in a neighborhood in Dallas. Since their migration to North Texas before the 2016 season, the Wings have played and practiced at the College Park Center on the University of Texas at Arlington campus. This location, with a seating capacity of 6,251, is situated about 20 miles from downtown Dallas.
Last year, in 2025, the Wings played two regular-season games at the AAC. They defeated the Chicago Sky in a recent match there and have two more home games scheduled at the arena this season.
