Security Escort at WNBA Game After Fan Incident

During a third-quarter pause at Thursday night’s game between the Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever, security escorted two men from the arena following a disruption. Jackie Young from the Aces flagged the situation to a referee, leading to the intervention.

With 4:38 left in the quarter, the game halted as Young talked to the official, pointing at certain fans and requesting security. Initially, a woman was escorted out but later returned. Eventually, two men near her were taken out through the tunnel.

“He was just chirping all game,” Young explained postgame. “I let him have it, and then he just made one that was a little bit too far.”

After the 86-84 overtime win, Young commented on the situation. She described the fan’s behavior as going too far at one point, though specifics were not disclosed.

Despite the ejection, subsequent statements clarified that Fever officials found “no code violation.” Security confirmed no breach of the Fan Code of Conduct. The fan left of his own accord, and officials consider the case closed.

The fan incident overshadowed an otherwise thrilling game. Chelsea Gray’s buzzer-beating 3-pointer pushed the match into overtime, where she again secured the win with another 3-pointer.

Young contributed significantly with 22 points, nine assists, four rebounds, and five fouls. She emphasized after the game that fans should enjoy attending games without crossing lines.

“They did the right thing. Obviously, we don’t want to see fans get kicked out, but at the end of the day, we’re human too. So let’s just show up to games, have fun and not take it too far,” Young remarked postgame.
