Kim Kardashian’s mansion in Hidden Hills became the site of a break-in on Sunday, officials confirmed. A vehicle was reportedly stolen from the property. Deputies from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station responded to a residential burglary call in the affluent area before 4 p.m., where they arrested an adult male.
At the time of the incident, Kardashian and her four children were not residing in the home, as it is currently under renovation. According to local media, suspect Trey Mendel was seen placing various items into a vehicle at the property. Law enforcement stated, “Upon arrival, deputies located a white male adult — Trey Mendel — and placed him under arrest for burglary and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.”
The suspect was taken to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, where he was booked on related charges. He remains in custody as the investigation continues. Authorities plan to forward the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for consideration.
The stolen vehicle is confirmed not to belong to Kardashian, who was absent during the burglary. Officers urge anyone with information to contact the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station Detective Bureau. Kardashian’s representatives did not provide immediate comments on the incident.
Back in 2014, Kardashian and her then-husband Kanye West purchased the Hidden Hills mansion for around $20 million. Following their divorce, finalized in November 2022, Kardashian acquired the home and its contents from West for $23 million. She continues to live there with their children: North, Chicago, Saint, and Psalm.
