The NBA has announced a Thanksgiving Eve triple-header for the regular season featuring high-profile matchups. Among the headliners is LeBron James with his new team, the Philadelphia 76ers.
Scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 25, the Philadelphia 76ers will face Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Miami Heat at 5 p.m. ET. This game is part of the Emirates NBA Cup. The triple-header on ESPN includes Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves against reigning two-time NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7:30 p.m. ET. Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs will conclude the set with a matchup against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers at 10 p.m. ET.
James, having previously played for the Miami Heat and won two championships with them, opted for a move to Philadelphia this off-season. The 76ers, who were in competition with Miami to sign James, hope to pursue a title with their revamped roster. James joins a team already strengthened by the acquisition of Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics. The roster features NBA MVP Joel Embiid, All-Star Tyrese Maxey, and promising young star VJ Edgecombe.
The Miami Heat also made significant moves, acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo, aligning him with Bam Adebayo—who had an impressive scoring performance last season. The team significantly enhanced its potential in the Eastern Conference.

Both the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers are expected to be key players in the Eastern Conference this season. Currently, the 76ers hold the third-best odds to win the NBA championship, sharing this position with the New York Knicks and trailing the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.
