Investigation into the Death of Mango Founder

2 weeks ago 0

Jonathan Andic, son of the late billionaire fashion mogul Isak Andic, called emergency services after his father fell while they were hiking near Barcelona. The call was released on Monday, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. The distressing call highlights Jonathan pleading for assistance as his father had ‘fallen down a ravine’.

Isak Andic, 71, was hiking with his son in December 2024 when the incident occurred. Jonathan was the only witness to the tragedy. Authorities initially considered the fall as accidental, but further developments led them to treat it as a potential homicide.

In May 2026, Jonathan Andic was arrested as investigations into the death deepened. Evidence such as the 911 call became crucial for the defense. Jonathan, the eldest son and vice chairman of Mango, denied any wrongdoing, stating there was no valid evidence against him.

Born in Istanbul and later settling in Catalonia, Isak Andic founded Mango in 1984. Over the years, Mango expanded globally, becoming a competitor to Zara. At his demise, Isak Andic was the non-executive chairman of the brand, with a fortune of $4.5 billion, as reported by Forbes. His family continues to stand by Jonathan, insisting on his innocence during the ongoing investigation.
