Penn State Fraternity Cocaine Trafficking Investigation

42 minutes ago 0

Authorities have uncovered an alleged cocaine trafficking operation linked to fraternities at Penn State. Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday addressed potential legal actions as part of this investigation.

The authorities reported that approximately 1 kilogram of cocaine moved through the operation every other month. This was characterized by Sunday as an ‘upper-level trafficking organization.’

‘This was a very sophisticated endeavor,’ Sunday stated on “The Story.” ‘This wasn’t just kids sharing drugs.’

Fourteen individuals, including current and former students, face charges related to illicit activities from 2023 to 2024. Agostino Abbatiello and Thomas Robinson, identified as the main suspects, allegedly traveled to Philadelphia and New York for cocaine and used Snapchat and Venmo for transactions.

‘Organizations like this running for an extended period is concerning,’ Sunday noted.

Initiates at Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi fraternities reportedly participated in cocaine packaging, influenced by peer pressure.

‘Peer pressure is a significant motivator,’ Sunday remarked, acknowledging its impact on those involved.

Penn State expressed horror at the allegations, placing Delta Upsilon on interim suspension. Sigma Chi operates without university recognition.

This investigation draws national attention nearly a decade after another incident at Penn State involved fraternity-related misconduct.

Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum questioned if the attorney general’s office would act against Penn State, given these circumstances. Sunday expressed hope for proactive measures from the university.

‘Collaboration with the university has been promising, and I hope it continues for resolving these issues,’ Sunday concluded.

Nora Moriarty from Fox News Digital reported on this development.
