A 49-year-old motorcyclist died Wednesday night following a collision with a sedan on DuSable Lake Shore Drive, according to Chicago police.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. The motorcyclist was traveling south in the 400 block of South Lake Shore Drive in the Loop neighborhood. She was hit by a gray sedan moving in the same direction. Emergency responders transported her to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The sedan’s driver, a 25-year-old, was not injured in the crash. Authorities placed him in police custody at the scene for investigation. The Major Accident Investigation Unit is looking into the details of the crash.
