August traditionally marks the end of back-to-school season, a time when many realize they missed their favorite summer films. This year, I made it a point to attend more movies than usual. I committed to visiting the theater often. This effort led me to watch a variety of LGBTQ-themed movies.
The atmosphere in theatrical settings can offer unique perspectives on representation. Despite claims about diminished representation, the presence of LGBTQ films is noticeable to those who attend regularly.
