Adam Levy Launches New Courtroom Show ‘Adam’s Law’

Judge Adam Levy’s new courtroom show, “Adam’s Law,” is making its debut this month. Drawing inspiration from his mother, Judge Judy Sheindlin, Levy feels ready for the challenge.

Judy Sheindlin’s show, “Judge Judy,” captivated audiences for over 25 years. Now, her son is stepping into the spotlight with a history of participation in shows like “Justice on Trial” and “Tribunal Justice.” Prior to TV, Levy served as the Putnam County District Attorney in New York for two terms. He also served as one of the three judges on “Tribunal,” but for “Adam’s Law,” he will be the sole judge, leading the show under CBS Media Ventures. The show premiered on Monday.

Judge Adam Levy explained during a session at Stamford Studios. Levy emphasized the importance of detail, stating that they ensure thoroughness by verifying or contradicting litigants’ claims when necessary.

During a session, two women expressed emotional distress as they provided testimony. Levy acknowledged the reality of emotions but aims to focus strictly on factual evidence, emphasizing to his family that the law is grounded in facts, not emotions. He reiterated that each case, regardless of monetary value, deserves equal attention and justice.

Levy shared that he knew he was ready for his show when “Judge Judy told me I was ready.” After considering retiring, Sheindlin encouraged her son to take on the challenge.

Levy describes his courtroom demeanor as resembling his mother’s, noting a common dislike for dishonesty and an expectation for truthful testimony. He stressed that trials are a pursuit of truth.

Reflecting on his upbringing, Levy acknowledged the challenges of his mother’s career but now appreciates the work ethic she instilled in him, which he hopes to pass on to his children.

Despite joking that his kids think he’s “crazy” for his exhaustive preparation, Levy remains committed to offering his best for those seeking his judgment in court.
