Day 3 of Riot Fest on Sunday has experienced a delay in its start time, now set to begin at 2 p.m. The delay is attributed to the need to address conditions created by overnight rains.
The festival organizers announced on social media, Due to the overnight rains and to remediate the moistness of the park grounds, we are anticipating gates opening at 2 PM.
However, the updated schedule for Sunday has yet to be released.
These adjustments come after Saturday’s performances, which concluded earlier than planned. The early closure was announced mid-afternoon and led to either the cancellation or shortening of several acts. Tool took the headlining slot at 6 p.m., wrapping up the festival for the day by 7 p.m.
The National Weather Service predicts continued rain in Chicago until at least 2 p.m., with chances of precipitation persisting until evening.
