Brittany Mahomes, known for her spirited support during her husband’s NFL career, returned to action on Sunday night. Previously criticized by fans, she took to social media following the Kansas City Chiefs’ thrilling win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Chiefs’ narrow victory of 30-27 at Allegiant Stadium was accompanied by a series of posts from Brittany. She highlighted Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak’s confident halftime remarks predicting a Raiders win. Her caption echoed his words: “’We’re winning. We’re gonna win the game,’” adding humor to the Chiefs’ success.
At halftime, Las Vegas led 13-10, prompting Kubiak to assure CBS’ Tracy Wolfson of their impending victory. However, he underestimated Patrick Mahomes’ potential.
Patrick Mahomes orchestrated three touchdown drives in the fourth quarter, turning the tide in favor of Kansas City. A crucial 55-yard pass to Tyquan Thornton, followed by Kenneth Walker’s touchdown, marked the Chiefs’ comeback. Despite Thornton’s injury, Kansas City remained determined.
Following a Raiders fumble on the kickoff, Walker added another touchdown. Kirk Cousins later found Brock Bowers for a 20-yard touchdown, narrowing the gap. Yet, Cousins’ interception ended the Raiders’ hopes.
The victory elevated Kansas City to a 4-0 record, while Las Vegas fell to 3-1. Following the game, Patrick Mahomes commented, “I think you have to stay with it. I keep saying it… It’s about sticking with the process.” His perspective underscores the team’s focus on persistence.
