Kenneth Walker III’s Impressive Start with Kansas City Chiefs

2 hours ago 0

The Kansas City Chiefs’ acquisition of running back Kenneth Walker III has proven highly successful in the early stages of the 2026 NFL season. Through the first four games, Walker leads the league in rushing yards, with a total of 537. This places him ahead of notable players like Bijan Robinson from Atlanta, James Cook from Buffalo, Derrick Henry from Baltimore, and Jonathan Taylor from Indianapolis.

Walker, who was the Super Bowl MVP last season, has also secured four rushing touchdowns. Additionally, he has contributed to the Chiefs’ offense with 12 receptions, gaining 84 yards and two more touchdowns through passing plays.

His rushing total of 537 yards is the highest recorded in the initial four games of an NFL season for the past 15 years. The previous top performance was 534 yards by DeMarco Murray, who is now the running backs coach for the Chiefs. In light of Walker’s achievement, the Chiefs shared on social media, “Nothin’ like breaking your own coach’s record.”

As a result of Walker’s significant impact, the Chiefs have begun the 2026 season with a 4-0 record. They recently secured a win against the Las Vegas Raiders, a division rival. With the team headed into their Week 5 bye, they will next compete in a Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
