The legendary lightsaber used by Darth Vader during the pivotal confrontation with Luke Skywalker in “The Empire Strikes Back” is set to be auctioned next month. This prop from the classic Star Wars scene, where Vader reveals to Skywalker, “I am your father,” is anticipated to sell for a minimum of $1 million. The event, known as the Ultimate Star Wars Auction, will take place on November 12, hosted by Heritage Auctions.

This particular sale showcases over twenty-five lightsaber props, including those used by Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in “Revenge of the Sith.” Each of these lightsabers is expected to obtain at least $10,000.

Additionally, the auction will feature Boba Fett’s EE-3 carbine blaster from “The Empire Strikes Back,” with an estimated sale price exceeding $100,000. Other notable items include a Hero Rebel DH-17 Pistol, associated with the Rebel Alliance in “The Empire Strikes Back,” which is projected to surpass $10,000.

Among the collection are unique pieces like a Yoda puppet hand operated by Frank Oz in the character’s first appearance, a screenplay for the 1977 “Star Wars” signed by C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels, and a TIE Fighter pilot helmet from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”

Moreover, a miniature snowspeeder from Carrie Fisher’s private collection is part of the auction, expected to fetch over $10,000. In July, a lightsaber, memorable for being accompanied by Luke Skywalker’s severed hand in “The Empire Strikes Back,” was sold for an astounding $3.75 million, marking the most expensive Star Wars prop ever auctioned.
