Indi Hartwell has reclaimed a champion status in professional wrestling. Previously, she held the WWE NXT Championship but never lost it in the ring. Her draft to the WWE Raw brand led her to relinquish the title. Now, Hartwell stands atop the women’s division once again as the Knockouts World Champion after her victory over Xia Brookside at Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s (TNA) Bound for Glory pay-per-view.
Hartwell’s journey to the Knockouts Championship was challenging. She previously competed in the Knockouts TV Championship Tournament but was eliminated in the semifinals. Determined, she secured a tag team title with Harley Hudson and won a match via disqualification against Zoey Serrano. Hartwell’s persistence paid off when she was given a title shot against Brookside after an altercation with Daria Rae.
Brookside’s match strategy faced disruption as she lost focus, partly due to altercations with special guest referee Mickie James. After striking James twice, the TNA Hall of Famer retaliated, allowing Hartwell the opening to execute her finishing move, Hurts Donut, clinching her victory. Brookside’s Knockouts title reign concluded at 105 days. She had originally claimed the title from Lei Ying Lee.
Hartwell’s win at TNA Bound for Glory adds her to this year’s roster of Knockout champions, which includes Brookside, Lei Ying Lee, and Arianna Grace. It highlights her resilience and skill within the ring, positioning her as a formidable presence before her opponents.
Indi Hartwell’s return to championship prominence illustrates her commitment and talent in the pro wrestling scene, as she continues to impact the sport significantly.
