Black Content Creator Ejected from Ken Paxton’s Rally Speaks Out

1 hour ago 0

A Black content creator, who identifies as a firm supporter of President Donald Trump and the Republican Party, reported being ejected from a rally for Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton in San Antonio. She described the incident on social media as “beyond disrespectful.”

The woman, known on TikTok as @iamthelmalouise, has a following of more than 200,000 people. She posted several videos detailing the event. In one video, she records her removal from the venue saying, “I cannot believe this. Someone just came up to me and said that Ken Paxton’s campaign manager wanted me to leave. I was just asked to leave this event, and I did nothing wrong.”

Newsweek reached out to Paxton’s campaign via email, but the contact was made outside of standard business hours.

This development occurs amid Paxton’s statewide “Come and Take It” tour. He is engaged in a tight race against Democrat James Talarico, one of the most competitive Senate contests in the nation.

In another video, the woman appeared emotional, expressing shock after having driven two hours to attend the rally. She recounted leaving the Democratic Party two years ago and working to support Republicans since, even volunteering for Trump’s campaign. “I’m not quite sure what’s going on, but to be walked out of a room full of people and isolated as if I had done something wrong, I cannot believe it. I can’t,” she stated.

“That you would do me like that, and if you have followed my page for even a couple of days or longer than that, you know how hard I have worked for this party since I joined… This, I will never forget. Never. This was beyond disrespectful.”

She showcased her press credentials from past Republican events, such as the midterm GOP convention in Dallas, highlighting the lack of explanation for her removal. While considering that she might have been mistaken for someone else, she did not hold the Republican Party accountable, saying, “they have loved me and they have welcomed me with open arms.” However, she held Paxton’s campaign manager “100 percent responsible” for the disrespect experienced.

This is a developing story with more details to come.
