Denise Richards Discusses Her Facelift and Personal Challenges

1 month ago 0

Denise Richards has openly discussed her recent facelift at 55 and its impact on her life. In a new interview, the ‘Wild Things’ actress shared insights into her transformation and the challenges she faced during recovery, especially considering her ongoing divorce.

Richards, who first underwent plastic surgery with breast implants at 19, shared this was her first cosmetic surgery on her face. ‘I was terrified,’ she admitted, acknowledging her long-standing presence in the public eye. ‘A facelift is not something I could hide.’

Reflecting on her appearance post-surgery, Richards described a dramatic difference, saying, ‘It is night and day.’ She noted that after her procedure, other celebrities felt more comfortable sharing their experiences with her. She emphasized, however, that Hollywood looks often involve more than skincare and fitness.

Richards placed immense trust in her surgeon, Dr. Ben Talei, stating, ‘My face was in his hands.’ She described her faith in him as allowing him to use his artistic skills however he saw fit.

Complicating her recovery was her divorce from Aaron Phypers, which began just 10 days after her surgery. Despite the upheaval, she took care to ensure her healing was not compromised. Richards revealed that her ex disclosed her facelift, which led to unwanted attention.

Her daughters initially expressed concern about her decision to undergo surgery, fearing she did not need it and was too young. Richards explained her decision as being motivated by personal desire, asking for their support despite differences of opinion.

A prior disagreement with her daughter about cosmetic procedures also arose during the discussion. Richards had previously opposed her daughter’s wish for a nose job, highlighting the difference in age and intent. Her focus, she explained, was on restoring her looks rather than altering them.

Denise Richards shares daughters Sami and Lola with ex-husband Charlie Sheen and is also the mother to adopted daughter Eloise.
