Anne Hathaway Addresses Plastic Surgery Rumors with Simple Beauty Hack

Anne Hathaway recently addressed the speculation over her rumored plastic surgery. The Oscar-winning actress revealed that her lifted appearance on the red carpet is due to a hairstyling technique, not surgery.

Hathaway had previously shared on Instagram the beauty hack used to enhance her appearance. The method involves creating two small braids near her temples. These braids are pulled back and pinned, resulting in a naturally lifted look.

“I wouldn’t say pointed. But we’re at a time when people feel very confident in assuming what they think is fact, and sometimes what they think is accurate and sometimes it’s not,” Hathaway explained in an interview with Elle.

The star of “The Devil Wears Prada” usually prefers silence regarding public assumptions about her looks. Yet, the ongoing rumors prompted her to clarify.

“My preference would be to never comment on anything and to just live in the mystery and not draw attention to myself, but the speculation has gotten so loud that you do feel the need to just get your truth out there,” Hathaway stated.

Hathaway also expressed concerns about the nonchalant way people discuss potential cosmetic surgeries online. “Also, by the way, these are huge medical decisions that people are presuming,” she remarked. “I wanted to show that, like, no, I didn’t make a huge medical decision. It’s just two braids.”

Despite settling the rumors, Hathaway remains open to the idea of cosmetic procedures in her future. “And by the way, the other thing about all this is, I might still get a facelift someday,” she added.

Years ago, the actress endured the “Hathahate” era, where she faced significant online criticism. This experience forced her to confront insecurities and learn to handle public scrutiny better.

Reflecting on her early career days, Hathaway revealed her past struggles with fear. “One of the things about younger me is she was really scared, and I think that fear made me harsh with myself,” she shared.
