Logan Paul and Austin Theory successfully defended their WWE Tag Team Championship at “Saturday Night’s Main Event” in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They defeated The Street Profits in a match that lasted over 16 minutes. The victory came after Paul used brass knuckles to knock out Montez Ford, allowing Theory to secure the pinfall.
During the match, Ford sent Paul over the top rope, which nearly resulted in a risky fall for the social media influencer and wrestling star. Unfortunately, reports emerged afterward indicating Paul had suffered an injury, raising concerns for his future in WWE. Initially, the specifics of the injury were unclear.
On Monday, a serious update revealed that Paul had a torn triceps. This injury is expected to sideline him for several months as he undergoes recovery. WWE commentator Michael Cole confirmed this news during Monday night’s “Raw.”
Paul’s career in WWE has been marked by rapid progress. Known for his confident promo skills and ability to draw heat, he quickly adapted to in-ring techniques, performing advanced moves with ease. Before his current tag team title reign with Theory, Paul held the WWE United States Championship for 273 days, hinting at a promising future in major championships.
Beyond the recent match against The Street Profits, Paul and Theory were engaged in a storyline with newcomer Joe Hendry, who released a song titled “Fire Logan Paul.” With Paul’s injury, Hendry may not face Paul in the ring for several months. However, Hendry might have to contend with Paul’s stablemates, The Vision.
Monday’s episode of “Raw” also featured Theory attacking Hendry, possibly setting up a new feud. Additionally, WWE announced Bron Breakker would join as the new co-holder of the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside Theory.
While this setback could affect Paul’s WWE presence, he can focus on rehabilitation and his external ventures during his recovery period.
