Ali Larter’s Simpler Summers in Idaho

1 hour ago 0

Landman star Ali Larter finds life in Idaho simpler compared to her previous summers in Los Angeles. At the Newport Beach TV Fest, Larter shared with Fox News Digital how her summers look different since she moved to Sun Valley, Idaho, in 2020.

“It’s totally different. Our kids don’t want to hike anymore, but they enjoy biking and taking cold plunges in the river,” Larter explained. The actress, who stars as Angela Norris in Landman, shared her family’s favorite activities, saying, “We love barbecuing, playing with our dogs, and visiting Leroy’s for ice cream. My daughter might play volleyball.”

Larter described the longer days with the sun out until 10 at night as enjoyable family time. Ali Larter and Hayes MacArthur have two children, Teddy, 15, and Vivienne, 11.

During an interview in November, Larter detailed how they decided to stay in Idaho during COVID-19 lockdown. “We initially planned to return to California but stayed when schools remained closed there while they were open in Idaho. Our daughter experienced kindergarten and interacted with other children,” Larter said. This led to meaningful family bonds and meeting new families.

After their school year in Idaho, the family returned to Los Angeles in the summer, facing demands typical of an actor’s life. “In L.A., you’re expected to attend auditions, parties, and charity events,” Larter noted, mentioning her love for the city but seeking a focus on family life.

Larter attended the Newport Beach TV Fest, honoring Landman, where she plays Angela, Billy Bob Thornton’s ex-wife. On the red carpet, she remarked that Angela is a ‘wildcat’, expressing a wish to channel that energy more.
