Starting August 21, AMC+ will stream ‘Buffet Infinity.’ The film contributes to this year’s array of creative low-budget horror offerings, such as ‘Obsession’ and ‘Backrooms.’ Directed by Simon Glassman, ‘Buffet Infinity’ presents an unusual story through snippets from local TV ads and news. It narrates the tale of an enticing all-you-can-eat restaurant gradually overtaking a city in Alberta. Additionally, secondary plots develop, including a religious cult opposing the restaurant’s influence. Initially resembling late-night TV sketch comedy, the film grows darker and more surreal as the narrative unfolds.
